Espotel, contracted by Outotec, designed and delivered the CellCensor product together with the necessary production test system. The electronics and software design utilized Outotec's innovations and IPRs in copper electrolysis refining.
The test system design started with a Design for Testing (DFT) phase, running alongside the product design. Based on DFT results features to support testing were developed, resulting in fast, efficient design and implementation of the production test system based on Espotel's Procket Compact platform.
The production test system, software, electronics and mechanics were designed and implemented by Espotel. At the end of the project, the final Procket test system was used in the system testing of the CellSensor products and at the same time the results of the test system were verified. The Procket test system sped up the finalization of the product and its quality assurance, allowing the completion of testing in only ten weeks after which transfer of production to the final manufacturer began.
